Costières de Nîmes Vin Gourmand, Cotes du Rhone
We have often been seduced by the Costières de Nîmes and have forged relationships with different cellars for many years.
The blend of our Costières de Nîmes is mainly made from syrah and grenache. The grapes were vinified at low temperature in stainless steel and concrete vats and macerated for three weeks. The wines have not been aged in barrels to preserve their natural fruit flavour.
This cuvée is round and fruity. The nose seduces with its notes of very ripe black and red fruits (raspberry). The palate begins with a full and coated attack, develops in the middle and ends with a fresh and fine finish.
Serve it at 16°C.
Costières is a southern wine, its spicy side allows it to enhance spicy dishes such as a tagine, beef fillet with ginger or simple grilled meats. It also goes perfectly with a risotto with wild mushrooms.

More
Southern Rhône Red Blend refers to a wide range of grape varieties often blended together to make wines in the southern reaches of the Rhône Valley in the south of France. While the blend could theoretically consist of any of a wide range of grape varieties, it is usually made up of Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre, in varying proportions, typically with Grenache and Syrah as the dominant partners.
The Rhône Valley is one of the key wine-growing regions of France and is located in a distance that surpasses 40 km. The wines of the north of the valley tend to be dominant in Syrah, while wines from southern Rhône are more commonly blends, and Grenache plays a more dominant role.
