Speyside's signature 12-year-old blend is based on the flavours of the Speyside region. Aromas of fresh orchard fruit, wild herbs with hints of honey are the result of the Masters' experience in blending. Over the years, they have managed to preserve the classic flavour profile created in the 19th century by the pioneers of the Blended Scotch Whisky category, John and James Chivas.
Chivas 12 contains only the finest barley malt and grain whiskies. The 12 year old Scotch whiskies in the blend include Strathisla single malt, Strathclyde single grain and other whiskies to create a remarkably smooth blend.
Aroma:
An aromatic infusion of wild herbs and grasses, honey and orchard fruit.
Taste:
Round and creamy, with rich notes of honey and ripe pears, to which vanilla, hazelnut and caramel notes are added.
