Champagne
Champagne
Champagne is a wine region in the historic province of Champagne in northeastern France. The area is best known for the production of sparkling white wine that bears the name of the region. EU legislation and the laws of most countries reserve the term "champagne" exclusively to wines coming from the wine limits of Champagne, legally defined and divided into five wine-growing districts of the historical province: Aube, Côte des Blancs, Côte de Sézanne, Montagne de Reims and Vallée de la Marne.
