Roero – Piemont
Roero is a small DOCG wine district in the hills of Piedmont, northwestern Italy. The official Roero wine-growing area is located on the northern bank of the Tanaro River. The white wines of Roero are best when they are made from the cold slopes and oriented to the north. In these places, the grapes are protected from the harsh afternoon sun, allowing them to constantly ripen and develop a complete aromatic complexity, without losing their refreshing acidity.
