Loire Valley
The Upper Loire Valley is known for two emblematic wine sub-regions - Pouilly Fume and Sancerre. Almost all the wine grown in these areas comes from the Sauvignon Blanc variety. With Pouilly Fume to the east of the Loire river and Sancerre to the west, the territory of each region gives slightly different characteristics to the respective wines.
