Champagne Gosset

Champagne Gosset

Champagne Geosset is undoubtedly the oldest house in Champagne. It was founded in 1584 in Aÿ by Pierre Gosset. In the middle of the eighteenth century, the Gosset family discovered bubbles in their wine when it began to ferment in the bottle, and since then Gosset Champagne has been produced almost continuously. Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier grapes are mostly purchased from grape growers who have vines located in the premier Cru territories and in the region. Wines do not go through malolactic fermentation, this allows them to retain their natural freshness once they are bottled, aged and released. The wines are aged for at least three years in the bottle, based on the ancient examples found in the cellars of Aÿ. They are thus unique to Gosset and the Champagne region.
