Barbera d'Asti DOCG Superiore Gaiana
The “Gaiana” vineyard is located in Mombaruzzo on the right bank of the Belbo river at 150 m above sea level. The vineyards cover about 5 hectares of land, and they benefit from perfect sun exposure. The soil is limestone and clay. “Gaiana” is one of the most representative wines of Malgrà: its smooth flavor and elegance are enriched with its ample bouquet, which matures after 12 months of aging in wood. A wine with a full body, this Barbera is rich and warm.
Yield per hectare:
12 months in barrels and at least 12 in the bottle.
Intense ruby red with typical violet reflections.
Ample and complex with notes of wild berries, cherries, vanilla, coffee beans and cacao.
