Bordeaux

Bordeaux Supérieur is the appellative of wines produced in the generic area of AOP Bordeaux that are produced from the classic Bordeaux grape varieties.  The red wines are, as suggested by their name, intended to be a slightly 'superior' form of the AOC standard bordeaux wines. Therefore, it relies heavily on Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, with smaller quantities of Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot and Malbec.
